Public Housing
IHA offers low-rent Public Housing to eligible low-income families, seniors and persons with disabilities at several locations throughout Indianapolis. For a list of communities, please refer to our Communities page.
Housing Choice Voucher Program
The HCV Program, more commonly known as Section 8, helps low-income families afford to lease their choice of housing from the private rental market, and in certain cases purchase a home through the HCV Homeownership program. To learn more, please visit our Housing Choice Voucher page.
Housing Development
IHA's nonprofit arm, Insight Development Corp, partners with state and local governments, community organizations and private partners to creatively address the housing needs of the Indianapolis community. Insight Development is a leading innovator in securing mixed-source financing to support the development, rehabilitation and operation of public and affordable housing.
