Hiring Process

The Indianapolis Housing Agency accepts applications and resumes via email to our job line, by fax, or delivered in person at our 1919 N. Meridian Street location between the hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Upon receipt of your application, the Human Resources department will review and pass it along to the appropriate hiring manager. If interested, you will be contacted directly. All applications received stay on file with the HR department for 90 days.

Below is a partial list of Agency requirements for all IHA employees. Please be aware there may be additional requirements based on the position applied for/awarded.

  • Must be a resident of Marion County, or be willing to re-locate within 6 months of accepting position
  • Required to submit to a criminal background check and drug test
  • Some positions require pre-employment skill testing
  • Must possess a valid Indiana Driver’s license
  • Must have the ability to work as a member of a team
